How The Elanra Medical Ioniser Compares
This page is provided as a resource for those who may wish to research the claims and compare the actual performance or otherwise, of the many air-cleaner type ionisers on the market.
Because the ELANRA Medical Ioniser is the world's only medical ioniser, it is impossible to compare our ionisers with 'air-cleaner' type ionisers. At best these products only produce medium and large negative ions which cannot be ingested or used by the human body. At worst, some brands produce nothing at all, and can produce harmful ozone.
The ELANRA Medical ionisers / ionisers operate on totally different (and fully patented) principal, and are the only ionisers in the world that produce the small negative ions of oxygen that you can actually ingest directly into your lungs and bloodstream. It is these small negative ions of oxygen that are shown to be beneficial to your health.
None of the other ionisers (negative ion generators) on the world market today produce biologically active small negative ions of oxygen. Some of these are reviewed here and are representative of the bulk of the products on the market. If you have information about any ioniser which performs differently, in the interests of providing the most accurate market information available, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Many so-called "ionizers" may also produce harmful ozone above the recommended maximum levels; a definite health hazard! And other manufacturers make statements that are purely laughable - claiming ion outputs in the trillions. One brand even claims it is 'self-adjusting according to environmental conditions'. However, when we tested it and took it apart, there was NO mechanism, electronic, mechanical or otherwise, that would enable it to do anything like this - in other words, their claim was false.
All the ionisers have been tested under laboratory conditions and then experts have evaluated their construction standards. There are 3 brands out of all those tested that actually perform a respectable and efficient air-cleaning task and which, in our opinion, are well-made enough to justify their existence.
However, not one of these ionisers produces a single, measurable, "small negative ions of oxygen", and therefore none can claim any therapeutic value or benefit whatsoever other than in an air-cleaning role.

The below outputs are merely a guide to demonstrate the power of the ELANRA Medical Ioniser. Please note that we have only measured the output from ELANRA at its lowest settings.
Nothing can compare with ELANRA at it's highest setting.
It is a fact that some of these "so-called" ionisers only produce harmful Ozone or utilise outdated technology.
